The Mumbai leg of the GOAT Tour was a landmark celebration of football culture, bringing global icon Lionel Messi to the city for a high-energy fan engagement. Hosted at Wankhede Stadium, the event featured a ceremonial kick-off, a celebrity exhibition match and interactions with leading Indian sporting icons, creating a rare and memorable moment for Indian football fans and reinforcing Mumbai’s place on the global sporting map.

The GOAT Tour in India, featuring Lionel Messi, was meticulously organised and managed by the Shatadru Datta team, setting a new benchmark for global football engagement in the country.


We take immense pride in the fact that this landmark initiative was further strengthened when the Hon. Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, joined Messi in launching our project—symbolising a powerful alignment between sport, leadership, and vision for the future of Indian football.
